“Lotus" Cardigan Crochet Pattern by Joanna Crochet Designs



MATERIALS


  • magicyarnball of your choice (i used magic “black forest”), 4ply, 2300-3400 m for S - 2XL. Find yarn here
  • 4mm hook size 
  • Scissors 
  • Stitch markers

ABBREVIATIONS


St / s = stitch / es 
Sk = skip  
Mr = magic ring 
Ch = chain 
Ch-sp = chain space 
Dc = double crochet 
Bphtr = back post half treble crochet 
Fphtr = front post half treble crochet 
Bphtr2tog = back post half treble crochet 2 together (decrease) 
Dc3tog = double crochet 3 together (decrease) 
Sl st = slip stitch

"Smokey" Jacket Crochet Pattern by Joanna Crochet Designs

 



MATERIALS


  • Magicyarnball 6ply 1800-2500m or any yarn of your choice that meet the gauge. Find yarn here
  • 6mm hook size
  • Markers
  • Scissors
  • Zipper at the height of the jacket
  • Needle yarn

GAUGE


14 seedling sts x 12 rows = 10 x 10 cm (4 x 4 in)


ABBREVIATIONS


Ch= chain

Sp= space

Fsc=foundation single crochet

Dc=double crochet

Fpdc= front post double crochet

Bpdc= back post double crochet

Hdc= half double crochet

Sc=single crochet

Bl=back loop

Ch3-sp= chain 3 space

Fpdc2tog= front post double crochet 2 together

Bpdc= back post double crochet 2 together


SPECIAL STITCHES


Seedling stitch crochet:

Row 1: dc in each st across, turn.

Row 2: ch 1, hdc in 1st st, *fpdc, bpdc* repeat across ending with hdc in the last st and turn.

Row 3: ch 1, hdc in the 1st st, *bpdc in the fpdc sts, fpdc in the bpdc sts* repeat across, ending with hdc in the last st and turn.

Repeat R3 until you have finished.

  • Magicyarnball yarn or any yarn of your choice that meet my gauge (XS – 2XL 1780m – 2600m, plus 600 – 1000m for the sleeves), 4-ply. You can find it here.
  • 3.5mm hook size
  • Needle
  • 3-4 buttons of your choice
  • Stitch markers

GAUGE

17sts x 20 rows = 10cm x 10 cm


ABBREVIATIONS


St = stitch

Ch = chain

Dc = double crochet

Hbhdc = herringbone hdc

Fpdc = front post double crochet

Bpdc = back post double crochet

Hdc = half double crochet

Sk = skip

Trc = treble crochet

Fsc = foundation single crochet


SPECIAL STITCHES

1.Herringbone Half Double Crochet (hbhdc): yarn over, insert hook into the next the stitch and pull up a loop (3 loops on the hook). Pull first loop straight through the 2nd (just like a slst), yarn over, and pull through 2 remaining loops on hook.

2.Cross stitch with double crochet: skip next stitch, double crochet in the next stitch, double crochet in the skipped stitch.
