For more help on the pattern don't hesitate to contact us at: yarnhookgo@gmail.com. There is also a video tutorial on our channel.

INSTRUCTIONS

While the instructions stipulate an 8 cm ball, feel free to create a ball of any size you desire. Begin by chaining x stitches (I used 34 for my yarn) and slip stitch the first chain to form a ring.

R1: chain 1 and single crochet in each chain, slip stitch in the first single crochet. (34)

R2: chain 1, single crochet in the 1st stitch, *double crochet in the next stitch, single crochet in the next* repeat the ** ending with double crochet in the last stitch and slip stitch in the 1st single crochet.

R3: chain 1, double crochet in the 1st stitch, *single crochet in the next double crochet, double crochet in the next single crochet* repeat the ** ending with single crochet in the last stitch and slip stitch in the 1st double crochet

R4: chain 1, single crochet in the 1st stitch, *double crochet in the next single crochet, single crochet in the next double crochet* , repeat the ** ending with double crochet in the last stitch and slip stitch in the 1st single crochet

Repeat R3 and R4, till you have the length you need. Once you reach the desired length, leave a very long tail for sewing and cut the yarn. With the needle pass the yarn through each loop, one on the outside and one on the inside. Once you've made the round, pull the yarn to close the hole and secure it. Pass the remaining yarn through the stitched to reach the other side. Repeat the same process and close the 2nd hole as well. Sew it to secure, and make a big loop to hang it and you're done!

Happy Hollidays!!!

R7: Repeat R6, and do, dc in each st, till end of the round and in the corners do (dc - 2 ch - dc). Join with a sl st in the end, in the 1st dc.

R8: ch 1, dc in the same st, dc in the next st, fpdtr in the next 3 sts, 2 rows below, dc in the next 2 sts, *(dc - 2 ch - dc) in the corner, dc in the next 2 sts, fpdtr in the next 3 sts, 2 rows below, dc in the next 3 sts, fpdtr in the next 3 sts, 2 rows below, dc in the next 2 sts* x 3 times, ending with (dc - 2 ch - dc) in the last corner, dc in the next 2 sts, fpdtr in the next 3 sts, 2 rows below, dc in the next st and join with a sl st in the 1st dc.

The idea of the pattern is as follows: R5 or R8 and 2 rows with dc in each st. Repeat the idea until you have (3 fpdtr) x 6 on each side.

NOTES:
  • When doing R5 or R8, it will always start and end with a dc in the first and last st, after and before the corner.
  • Do fpdtr when 2 rows below you have dc and dc when 2 rows below you have fpdtr.
  • Always do 2 rows with dc in each st every 3rd row

JOINING

You can join the motifs in any irregular way you like. I chose the zig zag join which you will see below in the pictures.

Join the squares with a stitch marker, in the corner

Make a knot, pass the hook in the corner of the 1st square, from the outside to the inside.

Yarn over and pass it through the loop.

Pass the hook, in the corner of the 2nd square

Yarn over and pass it through the loop.

Pass the hook, in the 1st square, from outside to inside, in the back loop, yarn over and pass it through the loop.

Pass the hook, in the 2nd square, from outside to inside, in the back loop, yarn over and pass it through the loop. Continue the steps till the next corner, cut yarn and weave the ends. Join the squares, one by one, first horizontally, and make 4 rows with 5 squares. After, with the same way, join the rows between them.

BORDER

After you have joined the squares, and you have weaved the ends, you will do the border all around, which is called "Double Border". In this border, you will first work the rows in the front loop, then in the back loop and in the end, you will join the edges with sl st.

R1: join the yarn in the corner and: ch1, *(sc - ch 1 - sc) in the corner, sc bl in each st* repeat * till the end of the round and join with a sl st.

R2: ch 1, fpdc in the 1st st, *(dc - ch 1 - dc) in the corner, fpdc in each st* repeat the * till the end of the round and join with a sl st.

R3: ch 1, dc in the 1st st, dc in each st, *(dc - ch1 - dc) in the corner, dc in each st* repeat the * till the end of the round and join with sl st.

Cut yarn, weave the ends, turn you knit from the wrong side and repeat the rows 1, 2 and 3, starting from the unworked loops of the R1. Once you’re done, join the edges of the border with sl st all around. Cut yarn and weave the ends and you are finished!

INSTRUCTIONS

The wrap consists of 2 designs separated by a row of fptr/bptr sts.
It can be made in two dimensions:
SIZE 1: 70 X 150 cm (starts with 125 fsc)
SIZE 2: 70 X 200 cm (starts with 125 fsc)
Each time you will change from pattern 1 to pattern 2 and the opposite, you will need to finish in a certain row for the change to take place, so follow the instructions each time.

In the instructions I make SIZE 2.

So you start with 125 fsc

R1. Ch 1, sc in the 1st 3 sts, *sk 4, ch 6, sc in the next st, sk 4, ch 6, sc in the next 5 sts* repeat, ending with sc in the last st and turn.

R2. Ch 1, dc in the 1st st, ch 3, *sc in the next ch6-sp, ch 6, sc in the next ch6-sp, sk 2, ch 6, sc in the next st, sk 2, ch * repeat, ending with: sk 2, sc in the last st and turn.

R3. Ch 1, dc in the 1st st, 12 dc in the next ch6-sp, *sc in the next ch6-sp, ch 6, sc in the next ch6-sp, 13 dc in the next ch6-sp* repeat, ending with ch 6, and sc in the last st and turn.

R4. Ch 1, dc in the 1st st, ch 4, *sc in the next ch6-sp, ch 6, sk sc and 4 dc, sc in the next 5 sts, sk 4 dc and sc, ch 6* repeat, ending with ch 6, sk sc and 8 dc, sc in the last 5 sts and turn.

R5. Ch 1, dc in the 1st st, ch 2, sk 1, *sc in next st, sk 2, ch 6, sc in the next ch6-sp, ch 6, sc in the next ch6-sp, ch 6, sk 2* repeat, ending with sc in the last st and turn.

R6. Ch 1, dc in the 1st st, 12 dc in the next ch6-sp, *sc in the next ch6-sp, ch 6, sc in the next ch6-sp, 13 dc in the next ch6-sp* repeat, ending with ch 6 and sc in the last st and turn.

R7. Ch 1, dc in the 1st st, ch 4, *sc in the next ch6-sp, ch 6, sk sc and 4 dc, sc in the next 5 sts, sk 4 dc and sc, ch 6* repeat, ending with sk sc and 8 dc and sc in the last 5 sts and turn.

R8. Ch 1, dc in the 1st st, ch 2, sk 1, *sc in the next st, sk 2, ch 6, sc in the next ch6-sp, ch 6, sc in the next ch6-sp, sk 2, ch 6* repeat, ending with sc in the last ch6-sp, ch 6, dc in the last st and turn.

Repeat R3 - R8 till you have 24 cm height. Once you reach the desired height, last row must be R8, then:

NEXT ROW: Ch 1, sc in the next 5 sts, * 4 sc in the next ch6-sp, sc in the next st, 4 sc in the next ch6-sp, sc in the next 5 sts* repeat, ending with 2 sc in the ch4-sp, sc in the last st and turn. (125 sts)
